Ahh, finally caught Prissy Clerks live.  I am a huge Total Babe fan (Clara Salyer’s last band), and the Clerks have a similar sound - jangly guitar pop with great melodies.  Can’t wait for the official first album, but I picked up a home recorded cassette (!) at the show.

Keep your ears peeled, a certain music blogger gets a shout-out from the stage half-way through the show :)

LOVE the new Sharon Van Etten record, and her previous Epic was a big favorite from last year. I was wondering if her live show would hold up compared to the albums - my fav aspect of Tramp is Sharon’s voice harmonizing with herself.  Luckily, her backing band features a great female backup vocalist / keyboard player. Great show with goofy banter in between.

Really enjoyed this set from the Deathsquads. In the connected spectrum of Gayngs / Marijuana Deathsquads / Polica , MD occupy on the ‘Intense, loud’ end. 2 drummers, 2 vocalists w/ various effects, and Ryan conducting / composing on the fly.
